Detection of perfusion ROI as a quality control in perfusion analysis [PDF]

open access: yesin Proc. Science, Research, Development. Technics and Technology, Berlin, Germany, Jan 30, 2018, pp.57-59, 2019
In perfusion analysis automated approaches for image processing is preferable due to reduce time-consuming tasks for radiologists. Assessment of perfusion results quality is important step in development of algorithms for automated processing. One of them is an assessment of perfusion maps quality based on detection of perfusion ROI.

Neural Network-derived perfusion maps: a Model-free approach to computed tomography perfusion in patients with acute ischemic stroke [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Purpose: In this study we investigate whether a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) can generate clinically relevant parametric maps from CT perfusion data in a clinical setting of patients with acute ischemic stroke. Methods: Training of the CNN was done on a subset of 100 perfusion data, while 15 samples were used as validation.

Perfusion Linearity and Its Applications [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2010
Perfusion analysis computes blood flow parameters (blood volume, blood flow, mean transit time) from the observed flow of contrast agent, passing through the patient's vascular system. Perfusion deconvolution has been widely accepted as the principal numerical tool for perfusion analysis, and is used routinely in clinical applications.

Novel Biologically Active Glass Fiber Functionalized Using Magnesium Phosphate Cement Promotes Bone and Vascular Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
In this study, a new type of bioactive glass fiber ‐based composite magnesium phosphate bone cement is prepared and verified that its mechanical strength and biological properties. In addition, the cement may have played a biologically active role in the Notch and HIF signaling pathways.

Synthetic Perfusion Maps: Imaging Perfusion Deficits in DSC-MRI with Deep Learning [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2018
In this work, we present a novel convolutional neural net- work based method for perfusion map generation in dynamic suscepti- bility contrast-enhanced perfusion imaging. The proposed architecture is trained end-to-end and solely relies on raw perfusion data for inference. We used a dataset of 151 acute ischemic stroke cases for evaluation.

Time‐Controlled Dual Targeting to Program Systemic and Intercellular Transfer of Therapeutic Effects

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Aspirin‐liposomes loaded onto monocytes enable inflammation‐triggered targeting and efficient hand‐over of aspirin to inflamed cells. Monocytes uptake a significant portion of aspirin‐liposomes, prolonging therapeutic action. This approach enhances anti‐inflammatory effects through intercellular transfer, demonstrating a translational strategy for ...

Biologically‐Inspired Melt Electrowriting for the Generation of Highly Biomimetic Functional Myocardium

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, melt electrowriting is used to fabricate a 3D printed scaffold design that generates engineered cardiac tissues with in‐plane contraction, mimicking natural myocardium. It is shown that these tissues display advanced maturation and functionality.
