An Accessible Microfluidic Platform for the Generation of Polarized Brain Organoids

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study presents an accessible double‐gradient microfluidic device that enables controlled morphogen delivery and spatially polarized differentiation in brain organoids. By integrating a pump‐free design and stable fabrication method, the platform generates dorsal–ventral neuronal asymmetry, offering a reproducible and versatile approach to model ...

Additive Manufacturing of Patient‐Specific Intracranial Aneurysm Cell Culture Models

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Patient‐specific intracranial aneurysm models were fabricated using chocolate moulding, 3D printed water‐soluble cores, and direct resin 3D printing. Moulding PDMS around sacrificial cores made of chocolate or 3D printed water‐soluble resin yielded accurate, expandable, and endothelializable models that outperformed resin‐based approaches.

Additive‐Manufactured, Multifunctional Bioreactor Technology for Dynamic Culture of 3D Bioprinted Tissue Models

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
We introduce an additively manufactured bioreactor with a perfusion flow system and integrated temperature and pH sensors for skeletal muscle tissue biofabrication. The bioreactor's performance was evaluated by assessing the viability, spreading of the myoblast cells in a printed scaffold, and contraction of the isolated murine musculi interossei ...

Comparison of hemodynamic responses along with perfusion index to tracheal intubation with Macintosh and McCoy laryngoscopes

open access: yes, 2018
Background: The McCoy Laryngoscope in comparison to macintosh laryngoscope requires less force for performing laryngoscopy and as a result may alter the associated hemodynamic response.

Neodymium‐Doped Nanocrystals for Sensing Cellular Temperature at the Nanoscale

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Neodymium‐doped NaYF4 nanocrystals are engineered as bright, biocompatible nanothermometers for intracellular temperature mapping. Their ratiometric near‐infrared emission enables highly sensitive, nanoscale thermal readouts in living cells. Combined with gold nanostars for photothermal therapy, they reveal pronounced subcellular heating heterogeneity ...

PERFUSION COMPUTER TOMOGRAPHY IN PORTAL HYPERTENSION OF VARIOUS GENESIS: FEATURES OF INTRAHEPATIC HEMODYNAMICS

open access: yes
The study of intrahepatic hemodynamic features remains an urgent problem. This is due to the influence of the degree of change of this factor on all the main criteria of severity of the course and prognosis of the pathologic process, the frequency of ...
