Periodic solutions for third order ordinary differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
summary:In this paper, we introduce the concept of upper and lower solutions for third order periodic boundary value problems. We show that the monotone iterative technique is valid and obtain the extremal solutions as limits of monotone sequences.

Comprehensive Assessment of Arterial, Tissue, and Venous Collaterals for Evaluating the Infarct Growth Rate: The Multimodal Collateral Score

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Collaterals are crucial factors that influence the infarct growth rate (IGR). We aimed to determine whether a comprehensive multimodal collateral score (MCS), incorporating collateral assessment at the arterial, tissue, and venous levels, is associated with functional independence and provides incremental prognostic value over ...

Almost periodic solutions of higher order differential equations on Hilbert spaces

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
We find necessary and sufficient conditions for the differential equation $$ u^{(n)}(t) = Au(t)+f(t), quad tin mathbb{R} $$ to have a unique almost periodic solution. Some applications are also given.

Optimal periodic output feedback control: a continous-time approach and a case study

open access: yes, 2010
This article deals with the problem of optimal static output feedback control of linear periodic systems in continuous time, for which a continuous-time approach, which allows to deal with both stable and unstable open loop systems, is presented.

Clinical Impact of NOTCH3 Variant Location After First Stroke in CADASIL

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Despite its monogenic origin, Cerebral Autosomal Dominant Arteriopathy with Subcortical Infarcts and Leukoencephalopathy exhibits marked variability in clinical expression and severity. Variants in the NOTCH3 gene, within epidermal growth factor‐like repeat domains 1–6 or 7–34, are known to influence disease onset, but their impact ...

Balancing related methods for minimal realization of periodic systems

open access: yes, 1999
We propose balancing related numerically reliable methods to compute minimal realizations of linear periodic systems with time-varying dimensions. The first method belongs to the family of square-root methods with guaranteed enhanced computational ...

Screening Routine Clinical Notes for Epilepsy Surgery Candidates Using Large Language Models

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Epilepsy surgery is severely underutilized despite proven efficacy, with substantial under‐referral of eligible patients in routine clinical practice. This study evaluated the potential role of large language models (LLMs) as decision‐support tools for screening unstructured clinical notes to identify epilepsy surgery candidates and ...

Evaluation of Digital Technologies for Home‐Based Assessment in People With Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Digital technologies hold promise for transforming healthcare by enhancing personalized treatments and offer valuable opportunities to improve patient care. Here, we evaluated several novel, self‐administered, home‐based, digital endpoints for their association with corresponding conventional standard clinical measures (primary) in ...

A Two‐Stage Questionnaire and Actigraphy Screening for iRBD in a Multicenter Retrospective Cohort

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Isolated rapid‐eye‐movement sleep behavior disorder is a prodromal marker of synucleinopathies. However, most cases remain undiagnosed due to the insufficient predictive value of questionnaires and limited access to confirmatory video‐polysomnography. We assessed a two‐stage screening strategy combining a brief questionnaire on rapid‐

Robust and minimum norm pole assignment with periodic state feedback

open access: yes, 1998
A computational approach is proposed to solve the minimum norm and/or robust pole assignment problem for linear periodic discrete-time systems. The proposed approach uses a periodic Sylvester equation based parametrization of the periodic pole ...
