Fractional Schrodinger-Poisson equations with general nonlinearities

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2016
In this article we study the existence of positive solutions and ground state solutions for a class of fractional Schrodinger-Poisson equations in R^3 with general nonlinearity.

Periodic solutions of difference equations with general periodicity

open access: yesComputers & Mathematics with Applications, 2001
The authors discuss the continuous difference equation \[ x(t+1)= f\bigl(x(t)\bigr)+ \varepsilon g\bigl(t,x(t), x(t+1)\bigr),\tag{1} \] where \(f\) and \(g\) are given continuous functions and \(\varepsilon >0\) is a parameter. The function \(g\) is \(m\)-periodic in \(t\) and \(m\) may be not equal to the period of the cycle of \(f\) (a set ...

Genomics‐led approach to drug testing in models of undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
GA text Genomic data from undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma patients and preclinical models were used to inform a targeted drug screen. Selected compounds were tested in 2D and 3D cultures of UPS cell lines. A combination of trametinib and infigratinib was synergistic in the majority of UPS cell lines tested, which was further confirmed in an ex ...

Non-almost periodic solutions of limit periodic and almost periodic homogeneous linear difference systems

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2015
We study limit periodic and almost periodic homogeneous linear difference systems. The coefficient matrices of the considered systems are taken from a given commutative group.

The point at infinity and periodic solutions

open access: yesJournal of Differential Equations, 1965
In a previous paper [3], the concept of strong stability of the point at infinity relative to a two-dimensional system of ordinary differential equations was introduced and used to establish the existence of periodic solutions of the system of differential equations.

EMT‐associated bias in the Parsortix® system observed with pancreatic cancer cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The Parsortix® system was tested for CTC enrichment using pancreatic cancer cell lines with different EMT phenotypes. Spike‐in experiments showed lower recovery of mesenchymal‐like cells. This was confirmed with an EMT‐inducible breast cancer cell line.

Termination of families of periodic solutions

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1977
Early this century E. Stromgren calculated numerically many groups, or families, of periodic solutions of the restricted three-body problem. His results lead him to announce the Principle of Natural Termination according to which a family of periodic solutions can only terminate in one of four ways: by the period, the dimensions of the orbits, or the ...
