Bifurcation of periodic solutions in PDE’s: Numerical techniques and applications

1990
The method of lines with different types of space discretization has been used for the study of the behaviour of solutions of two parabolic PDE’s with Brusselator reaction scheme in the form $$ \frac{{\partial x}}{{\partial t}} = \frac{{{D_x}}}{{{L^2}}}\frac{{{\partial ^2}x}}{{\partial {z^2}}} + {x^2}y - (B + 1)x + A $$ (1a) $$ \frac ...

Parallelized computation of quasi-periodic solutions for finite element problems: A Fourier series expansion-based shooting method

arXiv.org
High-dimensional nonlinear mechanical systems admit quasi-periodic solutions that are essential for the understanding of the dynamical systems. These quasi-periodic solutions stay on some invariant tori governed by complex PDEs in hyper-time.

Representation and Stability Analysis of 1D PDEs with Periodic Boundary Conditions

arXiv.org
PDEs with periodic boundary conditions are frequently used to model processes in large spatial environments, assuming solutions to extend periodically beyond some bounded interval.

New investigation on soliton solutions of two nonlinear PDEs in mathematical physics with a dynamical property: Bifurcation analysis

Open Physics
To comprehend nonlinear dynamics, one must have access to soliton solutions, which faithfully portray the actions of numerous physical systems and nonlinear equations.

Solving elliptic PDEs in unbounded domains

arXiv.org
An accurate approximation of solutions to elliptic problems in infinite domains is challenging from a computational point of view. This is due to the need to replace the infinite domain with a sufficiently large and bounded computational domain, and ...

Periodic solutions of Hamiltonian PDEs

2004
This paper surveys some recent results about periodic solutions for Hamiltonian PDEs, which involve the small denominators difficulty. We considers in particular periodic orbits for completely resonant nonlinear wave equations and "Birkhoff-Lewis'' orbits with applications to a semilinear beam equation and to the nonlinear Schrödinger equation.
