Predicting the Future Burden of Renal Replacement Therapy in Türkiye Using National Registry Data and Comparative Modeling Approaches

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

Zamolodchikov integrability via rings of invariants

open access: yes, 2016
Zamolodchikov periodicity is periodicity of certein recursions associated with box products $X \square Y$ of two finite type Dynkin diagrams. We suggest an affine analog of Zamolodchikov periodicity, which we call Zamolodchikov integrability.

Periodic monopoles

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2005
This paper deals with static BPS monopoles in three dimensions which are periodic either in one direction (monopole chains) or two directions (monopole sheets). The Nahm construction of the simplest monopole chain is implemented numerically, and the resulting family of solutions described.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Qualitative Properties of Nonlinear Neutral Transmission Line Models and Their Applications

open access: yesAxioms
Neutral transmission line models are essential for analyzing stability and periodicity in systems influenced by nonlinear and delayed dynamics, particularly in modern smart grids.

On the dynamical behaviors and periodicity of difference equation of order three

open access: yesJournal of New Results in Science, 2022
The major target of our research paper is to demonstrate the boundedness, stability and periodicity of the solutions of the following third- order difference equation $$ w_{n+1} = \alpha w_{n} +\frac {\beta+ \gamma w_{n_-2} }{\delta+\zeta w_{n-2}} , \;\;

Poincare duality and Periodicity

open access: yes, 2009
We construct periodic families of Poincare complexes, partially solving a question of Hodgson that was posed in the proceedings of the 1982 Northwestern homotopy theory conference.

Environmental memory from a circadian oscillator:the Arabidopsis thaliana clock differentially integrates perception of photic vs. thermal entrainment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The constraint of a rotating earth has led to the evolution of a circadian clock that drives anticipation of future environmental changes. During this daily rotation, the circadian clock of Arabidopsis thaliana (Arabidopsis) intersects with the diurnal ...

Analysis of periodicity of extinction using the 2012 geological timescale [PDF]

open access: yesPaleobiology, 2013
Analysis of two independent data sets with increased taxonomic resolution (genera rather than families) using the revised 2012 timescale reveals that an extinction periodicity first detected by Raup and Sepkoski (1984) for only the post-Paleozoic ...

By dawn or dusk—how circadian timing rewrites bacterial infection outcomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The circadian clock shapes immune function, yet its influence on infection outcomes is only beginning to be understood. This review highlights how circadian timing alters host responses to the bacterial pathogens Salmonella enterica, Listeria monocytogenes, and Streptococcus pneumoniae revealing that the effectiveness of immune defense depends not only
