Regeneration of Periodontal Tissues
Advances in Dental Research, 1988To elucidate the regenerative capability of the periodontal tissues, we carried out two experiments: (1) Regeneration of the gingival tissue following gingivectomy in rats. Ultrastructurally, regenerating junctional epithelium was similar in morphology to that of untreated animals and appeared to attach to the enamel after five days.

Regeneration of Periodontal Tissues: Guided Tissue Regeneration
Dental Clinics of North America, 2010The concept that only fibroblasts from the periodontal ligament or undifferentiated mesenchymal cells have the potential to re-create the original periodontal attachment has been long recognized. Based on this concept, guided tissue regeneration has been applied with variable success to regenerate periodontal defects.

Periodontal Disease and Periodontal Tissue Regeneration
Current Stem Cell Research & Therapy, 2010Periodontal disease leads to destruction of the periodontium such as alveolar bone, cementum, the periodontal ligament, and gingiva. Effective treatment for periodontal tissue regeneration is important, because periodontal disease is related to several systemic diseases.

Enhanced periodontal tissue regeneration by periodontal cell implantation
Journal of Clinical Periodontology, 2013AbstractAimDue to a lack of regenerative potential, current treatments for periodontal defects do not always provide satisfactory clinical results. Previously, the implantation of a biomaterial scaffold‐cell construct has been suggested as a clinically achievable approach.

Development and regeneration of periodontal supporting tissues
genesis, 2022SummaryPeriodontal tissues, including gingiva, cementum, periodontal ligament, and alveolar bone, play important roles in oral health. Under physiological conditions, periodontal tissues surround and support the teeth, maintaining the stability of the teeth and distributing the chewing forces. However, under pathological conditions, with the actions of

Membranes for periodontal tissues regeneration
Ciência & Tecnologia dos Materiais, 2014Abstract The complexity of the tissues and the healing process of the periodontal wound turn the development of therapies for the predictable regeneration of functional periodontal tissues, a challenging exercise. In the last decades, the guided tissue regeneration (GTR) emerged as a strategy to drive the innate regenerative properties of the tissues
