Lipid metabolic stress triggers ferroptosis in PDLSCs through the GSK3β/NRF2 pathway, thereby aggravating periodontal bone loss. Upregulated GSK3β promotes NRF2 ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation via β‐TrCP, suppressing NRF2 nuclear translocation and antioxidant target expression.

In the periodontal microenvironment, orthodontic mechanical force activates the mechanosensitive ion channel Piezo1 on macrophages, triggering Ca2+ influx. The increased intracellular Ca2+ concentration drives the upregulation and activation of the innate immune sensor ZBP1, promoting the formation of Z‐NA.

Alveolar Bone Regeneration: Smart Biomaterials and Physical Stimulation
ABSTRACT Large‐area bone loss from disease, trauma, or congenital defects requires surgical procedures and bone grafting. Alveolar bone loss from severe periodontal disease and non‐unions often demands immediate grafting. Treating large alveolar bone defects using grafts and substitutes is challenging due to the complex oral environment, infection ...
