Evaluation of "Periotest" for prosthetic clinical application.

open access: yesNihon Hotetsu Shika Gakkai Zasshi, 1988
We evaluated the “ Periotest ®” for prosthetic clinical application.Stability and reproducibility of measured value, effect of tapped points and strength of proximal contact on measured value, Periotest value of normal tooth, corelation between Periotestvalue and clinical tooth mobility were investgated.Periotest values were stabilized during 20 times ...

TESTING PROGRESSIVE LOADING OF ENDOSTEAL IMPLANTS WITH THE PERIOTEST

open access: yesImplant Dentistry, 1996
The progressive loading of implants was first suggested by Misch in 1980. A major indicator of successful osseointegration is lack of implant mobility. In a pilot study, 26 implants were placed in eight patients. Fifteen of the implants were progressively loaded before placement of the final restorations.

Determination of Immediate-loaded Single Implants’ Stability with Periotest

open access: yesThe Journal of Contemporary Dental Practice, 2020
The aim of this study was to determine the stability of immediate-loaded single implants with periotest. In this in vivo study, dental implants with a length ranging from 10 to 13 mm and diameter of 3.0-4.2 mm were utilized. Stability of dental implant was evaluated using the Periotest® M handheld device before loading, at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months ...

The Periotest Method: Implant‐Supported Framework Precision of Fit Evaluation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, 1996
PurposeIn this study, the Periotest instrument was used to measure the precision of fit between cast high noble‐metal frameworks and the supporting implants in a patient‐simulation model. Three framework conditions and three implant‐location variables were used to evaluate the rigidity of the assembly as measured by the Periotest method.
