Hubungan Peritoneal Carcinomatosis Index dan Predictive Index Value Fagotti dengan Kadar Serum Fatty Acid Binding Protein 4 pada Kanker Ovarium Epitel Stadium Lanjut [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In advanced ovarian cancer, the main goal of surgery is complete debulking with no visible residual tumor, and predicting it before surgery has become a goal that still unresolved.

Acute Appendicitis due to Rare Metastasis From Lung Cancer: A Case Report

open access: yesRespirology Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 5, May 2025.
We report a rare case of lung cancer with metastasis to the appendix presenting as acute appendicitis. ABSTRACT Gastrointestinal metastasis from primary lung cancer is uncommon and metastasis to the appendix is particularly rare. It often presents with symptoms of acute appendicitis or remains asymptomatic, leading to incidental diagnosis.

Accuracy of radiologic- laparoscopic peritoneal carcinomatosis categorization in the prediction of surgical outcome.

open access: yesBritish Journal of Radiology, 2019
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the agreement between multiple detector CT (MDCT) and laparoscopy in the preoperative categorization of peritoneal carcinomatosis, and to determine the impact of this categorization on the prediction of cytoreduction status ...

Ultrasound examiners' ability to describe ovarian cancer spread using preacquired ultrasound videoclips from a selected patient sample with high prevalence of cancer spread

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 65, Issue 5, Page 641-652, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Objectives To assess the ability, as well as factors affecting the ability, of ultrasound examiners with different levels of ultrasound experience to detect correctly infiltration of ovarian cancer in predefined anatomical locations, and to evaluate the inter‐rater agreement regarding the presence or absence of cancer infiltration, using ...

Gastric Cancer Peritoneal Carcinomatosis Risk Score

open access: yesAnnals of Surgical Oncology, 2019
Background Gastric cancer (GC) peritoneal carcinomatosis (PC) is associated with a poor prognosis. Although grade, histology, and stage are associated with PC, the cumulative risk of PC when multiple risk factors are present is unknown.

Cell Biology of Cancer Peritoneal Metastasis: Multiclonal Seeding and Peritoneal Tumor Microenvironment

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 116, Issue 5, Page 1171-1180, May 2025.
We summarize recent findings on the cell biological aspects of peritoneal metastasis and potential therapeutic target molecules. We focus on the molecular mechanisms underlying cluster/spheroid formation in multiclonal peritoneal metastasis and cancer–stroma interactions within the peritoneal tumor microenvironment. ABSTRACT Peritoneal metastasis, also
