Negative electrode catalyst for the iron chromium redox energy storage system [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
A redox cell which operates at elevated temperatures and which utilizes the same two metal couples in each of the two reactant fluids is disclosed. Each fluid includes a bismuth salt and may also include a lead salt.

Polymerization of Phenylacetylene-Based Monodendrons with Alkoxy Peripheral Groups and Oxygen/Nitrogen Permeation Behavior of Their Membranes

open access: yesInternational Journal of Polymer Science, 2012
Monodendron monomers with alkoxy peripheral groups were synthesized, and the focal point of monodendrons, terminal acetylene, was polymerized with rhodium catalyst to yield corresponding polydendrons with a high molecular weight.

Suitable permselective membrane systems

open access: yes, 2021
Ethylene-co-vinyl acetate (EVA) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) were used as the precursors for the elaboration of the proton-exchange and gas separation membranes. It was found that the EVA hydrolysis allowed elaborating copolymers with tuned properties for the gas separation due to the different VAc/VOH group ratio.

Scalability of nanopore osmotic energy conversion

open access: yesExploration
Artificial nanofluidic networks are emerging systems for blue energy conversion that leverages surface charge‐derived permselectivity to induce voltage from diffusive ion transport under salinity difference. Here the pivotal significance of electrostatic

Ultramicroporous membranes for hydrogen separation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Fuel cell systems offer excellent efficiencies when compared to internal combustion engines, which result in reduced fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. One of the areas requiring research for the success of fuel cell technology is the H2 fuel
