Composition-induced structural phase transitions in the (Ba1xLax)2In2O5+x (0pxp0.6) system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Composition-induced structural phase changes across the high temperature, fast oxide ion conducting (Ba1xLax)2In2O5+x, 0pxp0.6, system have been carefully analysed using hard mode infrared (IR) powder absorption spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction and

Near‐Infrared Emitting Lanthanide Catecholate Giant Single Crystals – Morphology Control and Photon Down‐Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Evidence for existence of Functional Monoclinic Phase in Sodium Niobate based Solid Solution by Powder Neutron Diffraction

open access: yes, 2018
We have carried out systematic temperature-dependent neutron diffraction measurements in conjunction with dielectric spectroscopy from 6 to 300 K for sodium niobate based compounds (1-x) NaNbO3 -xBaTiO3 (NNBTx).

Magnetic properties of solid solutions between BiCrO3 and BiGaO3 with perovskite structures

open access: yesScience and Technology of Advanced Materials, 2015
Magnetic properties of BiCr1−xGaxO3 perovskite-type solid solutions are reported, and a magnetic phase diagram is established. As-synthesized BiCrO3 and BiCr0.9Ga0.1O3 crystallize in a monoclinic (m) C2/c structure.

Decoupling Size and Electronic Effects in Doped SrTiO3 Photocatalysts Through Surface Area–Normalized CO2 Hydrogenation Rates

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Exploring the photocatalytic reverse water–gas shift (RWGS) reaction on doped SrTiO3 nanoparticle films, reveals that normalizing catalytic rates by the catalyst's specific surface area (SSA) disentangled surface area effects from the catalyst's intrinsic material properties.

Crystalline structure and electrical properties of Dy1-XCaXMnO3 solid solution

open access: yesBoletín de la Sociedad Española de Cerámica y Vidrio, 2002
Solid solutions corresponding to the Dy1-xCaXMnO3 system, x=0.0 to 0.60 have been studied. The powders were prepared by solid state reaction of the corresponding oxides and carbonates. Sintered bodies were obtained by firing between 1250 and 1450ºC.

Hydrothermal synthesis of perovskite and pyrochlore powders of potassium tantalate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Potassium tantalate powders were hydrothermally synthesized at 100 to 200 °C in 4 to 15 M aqueous KOH solutions. A defect pyrochlore, Kta_(2)O_(5)(OH). nH2O (n ≈ 1.4), was obtained at 4 M KOH, but at 7–12 M KOH, this pyrochlore was gradually replaced by ...
