A Nationwide Assessment of Anticholestatic Therapy Uptake in Patients With Primary Biliary Cholangitis: Opportunities for Optimisation
Alimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.Among a nationwide population with primary biliary cholangitis, almost all people were prescribed ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA). However, UDCA was insufficiently dosed in a one third of them. The results indicate that first‐line treatment can be optimized, particularly in those with a biochemical response and higher body weight.Ellen Werner, Maria C. B. van Hooff, Gemma H. X. BJU International, Volume 135, Issue 4, Page 648-656, April 2025.Objective
To further evaluate a genomic classifier (GC) in a cohort of patients undergoing radical cystectomy (RC), as long non‐coding RNA (lncRNA)‐based genomic profiling has suggested utility in identifying a distinct tumour subgroup corresponding to a favourable prognosis in patients with bladder cancer.Joep J. de Jong, James A. British Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the most abundant phytocannabinoids isolated from the Cannabis sativa plant. CBD is a lipophilic, non‐intoxicating substance that differently from Δ9‐tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9‐THC) does not present the typical profile of a drug of abuse.Luca Botticelli, Emanuela Micioni Di Bonaventura, Giacomo Einaudi, Gustavo Provensi, Alessia Costa, Claudio D'Addario, Carlo Cifani, Maria Vittoria Micioni Di Bonaventura +7 morewiley +1 more sourceSchedule‐dependent neuroprotection by pioglitazone in a novel model of α‐synucleinopathy in rats: Integrated behavioural and histological outcomes
British Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView. Background and Purpose
α‐Synucleinopathies are neurodegenerative disorders characterized by the aggregation and propagation of misfolded α‐synuclein. In Parkinson's disease (PD), the most common α‐synucleinopathy, the progression of motor and nonmotor deficits, and dopaminergic neuron loss, are closely linked to the spreading of misfolded α‐synuclein ...Alberto Santiago‐Balmaseda, Marcos M.
