Advanced Characterization of FeNi-Based Films for the Development of Magnetic Field Sensors with Tailored Functional Parameters

open access: yesSensors, 2022
Magnetometry and ferromagnetic resonance are used to quantitatively study magnetic anisotropy with an easy axis both in the film plane and perpendicular to it.

Domain wall mobility engineering by a perpendicular magnetic field in microwires with a gradient of perpendicular anisotropy

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2021
Fast domain wall propagation is a typical feature of amorphous glass-coated microwires with positive magnetostriction. The high domain wall velocity can be effectively tailored either by sample postprocessing or temperature.

Arrays of magnetic nanoindentations with perpendicular anisotropy [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Physics Letters, 2007
The authors report an approach to the fabrication of periodic magnetic patterns using spherical indentations. These troughs are shaped by an imprint technique, employing a self-assembled monolayer of particles. Well-defined structures with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy are obtained by deposition of Co∕Pd multilayer films onto the topographic array.

Magnetization dynamics in synthetic antiferromagnets with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2023
Understanding the rich physics of magnetization dynamics in perpendicular synthetic antiferromagnets (p-SAFs) is crucial for developing next-generation spintronic devices. In this work, we systematically investigate the magnetization dynamics in p-SAFs combining time-resolved magneto-optical Kerr effect (TR-MOKE) measurements with theoretical modeling.

Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy in Co–Pt granular multilayers [PDF]

open access: yesLow Temperature Physics, 2012
Magnetization hysteresis curves have been measured on Co granular multilayers, (Al2O3/Co/Pt)N (N = 1 and 25), with the applied magnetic field parallel and perpendicular to the substrate plane. In all samples perpendicular magnetic anisotropy was observed. For Co particles with average diameter 3 nm, the coercive field at low temperature is μ0HC = 0.5 T.

Magnetic anisotropy and Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya interaction of Pd/Co/Ta thin films

open access: yesSt. Petersburg Polytechnical University Journal: Physics and Mathematics, 2022
In this work, we experimentally studied the structure and magnetic properties of epitaxially grown ultrathin Pd/Co/Ta films. We have studied the effect of Ta on the structural and magnetic properties of Pd/Co epitaxial films. The deposition of a Ta layer

Thin film epitaxial [111] Co $$_{50}$$ 50 Pt $$_{50}$$ 50 : structure, magnetisation, and spin polarisation

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Ferromagnetic films with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy are of interest in spintronics and superconducting spintronics. Perpendicular magnetic anisotropy can be achieved in thin ferromagnetic multilayer structures, when the anisotropy is driven by ...

Magnetic anisotropy of ultrathin Pd4Co(111) film by first-principles calculations

open access: yesJournal of Science: Advanced Materials and Devices, 2018
The Pd–Co alloy is a suitable candidate for the perpendicular magnetic recording and related applications. However, no research is available to clarify influences of local structures on the magnetic anisotropy of the Pd–Co alloy. Therefore, in this work,
