Arrays of magnetic nanoindentations with perpendicular anisotropy [PDF]

The authors report an approach to the fabrication of periodic magnetic patterns using spherical indentations. These troughs are shaped by an imprint technique, employing a self-assembled monolayer of particles. Well-defined structures with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy are obtained by deposition of Co∕Pd multilayer films onto the topographic array.

Domain wall mobility engineering by a perpendicular magnetic field in microwires with a gradient of perpendicular anisotropy

Fast domain wall propagation is a typical feature of amorphous glass-coated microwires with positive magnetostriction. The high domain wall velocity can be effectively tailored either by sample postprocessing or temperature.
