Assessing limits of sustainable seed harvest in wild plant populations

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 39, Issue 5, October 2025.

Consequently, several countries have set guidelines limiting the proportions of harvestable seeds. However, these guidelines are inconsistent and lack a solid empirical basis.

Old Bones in New Databases: Historical Insights Into Race, Statistics, and Ancestry Estimation in Anthropology

open access: yesAmerican Anthropologist, Volume 127, Issue 3, Page 566-580, September 2025.
ABSTRACT This article explores the persistence of race in biological anthropology, particularly in the context of ancestry estimation using the Fordisc software. Effectiveness of Key Biodiversity Areas in representing global avian diversity

open access: yesConservation Biology, Volume 39, Issue 4, August 2025.
Abstract Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) are the largest and most complete network of significant sites for the global persistence of biodiversity. Although important sites for birds worldwide have been relatively well assessed, a key question is how effectively the global KBA network represents avian diversity.
