ÉTUDE DES VARIATIONS DES COMMUNAUTÉS VÉGÉTALES AQUATIQUES SOUS L'EFFET DE PERTURBATIONS ANTHROPIQUES EN RIVIÈRE RÉGULÉE.

open access: yesKnowledge and Management of Aquatic Ecosystems, 2001

Perturbation of convex risk minimization and its application in differential private learning algorithms

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2017
Convex risk minimization is a commonly used setting in learning theory. In this paper, we firstly give a perturbation analysis for such algorithms, and then we apply this result to differential private learning algorithms.

Subtype‐specific enhancer RNAs define transcriptional regulators and prognosis in breast cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed machine learning methodologies to perform the subtype‐specific classification of RNA‐seq data sets, which are mapped on enhancers from TCGA‐derived breast cancer patients. Their integration with gene expression (referred to as ProxCReAM eRNAs) and chromatin accessibility profiles has the potential to identify lineage‐specific and ...

A new modification of the homotopy perturbation method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, a new modification of the homotopy perturbation method (HPM) is presented and applied to linear ordinary differential equations and nonlinear differential equations. A comparative study between the new modified homotopy perturbation method

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

On the Connection Between the ABS Perturbation Methodology and Differential Privacy

open access: yesThe Journal of Privacy and Confidentiality
This paper explores analytical connections between the perturbation methodology of the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) and the differential privacy (DP) framework. We consider a single static counting query function and find the analytical form of

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Robust localization methods for passivity enforcement of linear macromodels [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper we solve a non-smooth convex formulation for passivity enforcement of linear macromodels using robust localization based algorithms such as the ellipsoid and the cutting plane methods. Differently from existing perturbation based techniques,
