Pictet‐Spengler Intermediate of a cyclic secondary amine perylene diimide undergoing amine‐triggered conversion to azabenz‐annulated perylene diimide, inducing a high‐contrast green‐to‐yellow color change along with fluorescence turn‐on, demonstrating intuitive “safe” to “warning” dual‐mode sensing.

Magnetic Field Dependent Behavior of the CDW ground state in Per2M(mnt)2 (M = Au, Pt)
The Per2M(mnt)2 class of organic conductors exhibit a charge density wave (CDW) ground state below about 12 K, which may be suppressed in magnetic fields of order 20 to 30 T.

Aqueous zinc–iodine batteries (Zn–I2Bs) offer promise for grid storage due to safety and cost advantages yet face critical bottlenecks: severe self‐discharge (polyiodide shuttling and HER), limited energy density, sluggish kinetics, and zinc anode instability.

PDINN‐based organic solar cells exhibit strong thermal durability, maintaining high efficiency at 110°C, whereas PFN‐Br devices degrade rapidly. PDINN's stable interfacial interactions enhance charge transport and suppress recombination, emphasizing the key role of interfacial engineering in achieving thermally durable, high‐performance OSCs.

Superconductivity close to the charge-density-wave instability
We use the weak coupling renormalization group method to examine the interplay between charge-density-wave and s-wave superconducting orders in a quasi-one-dimensional model of electrons interacting with acoustic phonons.

Near‐infrared fluorescent pH indicators based on perylenediimide were constructed in a modular receptor–spacer–fluorophore–spacer–receptor format with heterocyclic amino moieties at the bay positions. Counterintuitively, the dibrominated intermediate with two heavy atoms is more emissive than the heterocyclic compounds.

A new photocatalyst for the aerobic photochemical oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides is described under really low catalyst loading (0.01 mol%) and methanol as the green solvent. The chemoselective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides is accomplished using a new family of photocatalysts, namely 1,2,6‐thiadiazin‐4‐ones. Utilizing a low catalyst loading (

Additives interact with non‐fullerene acceptors to modulate their aggregation behavior and molecular orientation via optimizing crystallization kinetics. The optimized morphology effectively suppresses charge carrier recombination and enhances charge transport. Notably, 2‐chloro‐1,3‐dibromobenzene with the dipole moments of 2.56 D enables the PM6/L8‐BO

Influences of Linker and Nucleoside for the Helical Self-Assembly of Perylene Along DNA Templates
Six different conjugates of perylene with 2′-deoxyuridine and with 2-amino-2′-deoxyadenosine were synthesized and applied for DNA-templated assembly in aqueous buffer solutions.
