Coordination‐Tuned Iridium Single‐Atom Nanozymes Boost Multienzyme Activity for Colorimetric Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Breaking the coordination symmetry of Ir single‐atom sites through asymmetric Ir–N3S1 engineering tailors interfacial electron transfer, oxygen activation, and multienzyme‐like catalytic pathways. Operando spectroscopy and theoretical modeling uncover the atomic‐level origin of activity enhancement, providing a strategy for designing multifunctional ...

Regulating Droplet Dynamics via Wormlike Micelle Networks: From Splash Suppression to Precise Confined Spreading

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
As displayed in Graphical Abstract image.tif, a molecular‐design strategy precisely tailors high‐speed droplet dynamics through programmed surfactant co‐assembly. The structural transition into an entangled wormlike micelle network completely suppresses stochastic splashing on fibrous substrates.

Assessment of pesticide exposure to applicators during spraying in orchards with a stretcher-mounted sprayer

open access: yesHeliyon
Various health risk assessment models have been developed to evaluate occupational pesticide exposure in China. However, there has been limited investigation into the relationship between health risks and pesticide spraying in orchards. In this study, we

Parkinson's disease and pesticide exposures [PDF]

open access: yesBritish Medical Bulletin, 2006
Idiopathic Parkinson's disease (PD) is a neurodegenerative disorder in which loss of dopaminergic neurons in the basal ganglia leads to tremor, bradykinesia, rigidity and postural instability.Literature search using Medline with keywords 'Parkinson's disease' and 'pesticides', limited to English, was undertaken, supplemented by articles from the author'

Pyrazole‐Derived Antibacterial Compounds Effectively Treat Methicillin‐Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus Infections by Inhibiting Aspartate Transcarbamoylase

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study unveils a novel antibacterial mechanism against MRSA, in which the compound Py‐27 selectively targets and inhibits aspartate transcarbamoylase (ATCase), a key enzyme in pyrimidine synthesis. This inhibition disrupts DNA replication, induces oxidative damage, leading to potent bactericidal activity.

Interference of ATP‐Binding Cassette Transporter by Functional Nano‐Delivery System for High Efficiency Management of Insecticide‐Resistant Nilaparvata lugens

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A ZIF‐90 nanocarrier delivers dinotefuran and suppresses NlABCG3 and NlABCH1 in resistant Nilaparvata lugens. This system combines pH/ATP‐triggered release with enhanced foliar retention, improving efficacy while sparing honeybees and promoting rice growth, offering a promising resistance‐breaking strategy.
