A Universal Point Set for 2-Outerplanar Graphs

open access: yes, 2015
A point set $S \subseteq \mathbb{R}^2$ is universal for a class $\cal G$ if every graph of ${\cal G}$ has a planar straight-line embedding on $S$. It is well-known that the integer grid is a quadratic-size universal point set for planar graphs, while the

CRISPR in MOF Formulation with Enhanced Stability, Activity, and Altered PAM Specificity for Broad‐Spectrum Diagnosis of Bacterial Sepsis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CRISPR‐FLEXMO (CRISPR with flexible PAM in MOF encapsulation) integrates a PAM‐relaxed Cas12a K607R enzyme with a manganese‐coordinated MOF for broad‐spectrum diagnosis of bacterial sepsis. The MOF enhances activity and preserves functionality under heat, solvent, and chaotropic stress, supporting long‐term room‐temperature storage.

GbWAKL20 Phosphorylates GbNFYB8 to Modulate Verticillium Wilt Resistance in Cotton

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Wall‐associated receptor‐like kinases (WAKLs) play pivotal roles in extracellular–intracellular signal transduction. Upon sensing Verticillium dahliae infestation at the plasma membrane, GbWAKL20 accumulates and transmits signals to the nucleus via endoplasmic reticulum‐mediated Golgi vesicle transport.
