Onion‐Mitochondria Inhibit Lipopolysaccharide‐Induced Acute Lung Injury by Shaping Lung Macrophage Mitochondrial Function

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Proposed model of orally administered onion mitochondria (O‐Mit) uptake by lung macrophages and fuse with macrophage mitochondria (M‐Mit). This fusion reprograms the metabolism of dysfunctional M‐Mit in lipopolysaccharide‐induced murine acute lung injury by modulating dynamin‐related protein 1 (DRP1) phosphorylation and cardiolipin peroxidation ...

Multifunctional Thermoplastic Paper Enabled by Plant‐Cell‐Derived Additives: A Paradigm of Paper‐Based “Modern Alchemy”

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Building upon the concepts of papermaking wet‐end chemistry and chemical additives, this work upgrades conventional cellulosic paper into thermoplastic material using plant‐cell‐derived additives, synthesized via ring‐opening modification of pulp fibers and further disassembly into aqueous solutions as additives.

METTL10‐Mediated PIAS3 Methylation Links Purine Metabolism to Gastric Cancer Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
METTL10‐mediated methylation of PIAS3 at K442 inhibits its SUMO E3 ligase activity toward MITF. This reduces MITF SUMOylation and subsequent RNF4‐mediated ubiquitination, leading to MITF protein accumulation and gastric cancer progression. Abstract Metabolic dysregulation plays a significant role in the development of gastric cancer (GC).
