Trust in Regulation in a Time of Revolution
ABSTRACT This article examines trust in regulation as a core value and precondition of the modern liberal democratic regulatory state. It develops a concept of justified trust in regulation, grounded in regulatory trustworthiness—honesty, competence, and reliability—rather than in proxies such as partisan loyalty, blind faith, obedience, or resignation.

ABSTRACT Social interactions rarely occur with persons in the abstract. Rather, we engage with parents, teachers, neighbours—that is, persons in various capacities, as occupants of social roles. If social interactions are role‐mediated, then interpersonal trust must also be directed at persons in their roles.

Mitochondrial haplotype and sex modulate responses to endurance exercise training
Abstract figure legend Using OKC‐HETB/W rats we demonstrate that mitochondrial haplotype influences training responses of endurance exercise. Overall OKC‐HETW rats showed greater responses than OKC‐HETB in exercise tolerance, mitochondrial bioenergetics, mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) mutation frequencies and motor co‐ordination.
