Intrinsically Stretchable Piezoelectric Nanocomposites for Artificial Ultrasonic Sensory Synapse

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Applying ultrasonic stimulations to a soft‐stretchable underwater piezoelectric sensor based on the soft‐stretchable nanocomposite from the thermal cross‐linking between the ─C─F group of P(VDF‐TrFE) and the ─NH2 group of (PEG‐diamine) with incorporating amine‐terminated BTO@APTES nanofillers on the soft PDMS substrates generated high piezoelectric ...

From Fiber Bundles to Architected Membranes: Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Architectures for Biohybrid Artificial Lungs

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Additively manufactured triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) membranes offer an architecture‐driven alternative to hollow fiber bundles in artificial lungs. Multiphysics simulations and endothelialized prototypes show that the 3D‐printable membrane architecture improves gas exchange, blood flow distribution, and hemocompatibility, enabling ...

Above Room Temperature Ferroelectricity in Epitaxially Strained KTaO3

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Through precise epitaxial engineering, the cubic and paraelectric KTaO3${\rm KTaO}_3$ is transformed into a robust ferroelectric. By leveraging lattice‐mismatched substrates to apply controlled epitaxial strain, a stable ferroelectric ground‐state is achieved with a transition temperature as high as 475 K, establishing KTaO3${\rm KTaO}_3$ as a highly ...

Direct Growth of 2D Bilayers on Au(111) for Low‐Coercive Sliding Ferroelectricity

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Controlled CVD growth of stacking‐defined bilayer ReS2 on Au(111) enables parallel‐stacked bilayers with intrinsic sliding ferroelectricity, a strong piezoelectric response, and an ultralow coercive voltage. Atomic‐resolution imaging and in situ measurements further reveal the decisive role of clean interfaces in achieving low‐barrier ferroelectric ...

Multimodal Physical Fitness Monitoring (PFM) Framework Based on TimeMAE-PFM in Wearable Scenarios

open access: yes2024 5th International Conference on Computer Engineering and Application (ICCEA)
Physical function monitoring (PFM) plays a crucial role in healthcare especially for the elderly. Traditional assessment methods such as the Short Physical Performance Battery (SPPB) have failed to capture the full dynamic characteristics of physical function. Wearable sensors such as smart wristbands offer a promising solution to this issue.

High‐Performance Piezoelectric Nanogenerators Based on Wurtzite BeO Nanowire Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates high‐performance piezoelectric nanogenerators based on 1D BeO nanowire arrays. The BeO nanowires exhibit a high piezoelectric coefficient (∼15.8 pm V−1) and deliver an output voltage of ∼26.1 V and power density of ∼0.32 µW cm−2.

Displacive In‐Plane Ferroelectricity with Domain‐Specific Curie Temperature in Van der Waals Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temperature‐dependent electron diffraction on tin monochalcogenides demonstrates a gradual displacive transformation between ferroelectric and paraelectric phases with significant variability in lattice constants and Curie temperature (TC). Periodic variations exist even between domains in individual crystals, implying a domain‐specific Curie ...

Pelvic floor muscle training decreases hip adductors isometric peak torque in incontinent women: an exploratory study

open access: yesFisioterapia em Movimento
INTRODUCTION: The pelvic floor muscle (PFM) training is the most common treatment for urinary incontinence (UI), however many women performed the contraction of PFM with associated contraction of abdominal, gluteus and hip adductors muscles.
