Greens in Regulation: Biodiversity Strategy Implementation Across the Golf Industry

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Although much of the business and biodiversity literature focuses on extractive industries, we turn our attention to the golf industry. Golf courses occupy millions of acres globally, yet biodiversity strategy implementation across the golf industry remains understudied.

Sustainability Certifications as Strategic Tools: Environmental Accountability, Institutional Robustness and Global Convergence

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sustainability certifications are increasingly used as strategic tools to advance accountability for environmental sustainability. This study addresses the challenge of fragmented national certification standards by proposing and applying a replicable method to assess the structural robustness and convergence of industry‐specific ...

An Ultra‐Low‐Power Biopotential Acquisition Analog Front‐End Chip for Wearable Devices

open access: yesInternational Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications, EarlyView.
A 0.8‐V, 1.2‐μW biopotential AFE combines a chopper‐stabilized CCIA with dual‐time‐scale EDO management. The slow DSL preserves > 1 GΩ input impedance, whereas an event‐triggered fast‐recovery path shortens return to the linear range after abrupt electrode‐offset disturbances. ABSTRACT A 0.8‐V, 1.2‐μW biopotential analog front‐end (AFE) IC is presented

Instability mechanism and failure characteristics of underground cavern in block system under the action of seismic waves

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
Seismic waves with tensile stress, high amplitude, and low frequency are most likely to trigger block instability and sliding. Blocks with a single sliding surface are more prone to movement than those with multiple constraints, and roof‐positioned blocks are especially vulnerable to slide.

Learning Rocking Dynamics From Sparse Shake‐Table Data With Interpretable Physics‐Informed Neural Networks

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We present a hybrid interpretable Physics‐Informed Neural Network Long‐Short Term Memory (Hybrid PINN LSTM) framework for predicting the seismic response of rocking blocks. Existing analytical models rely on uncertain idealizations, while purely data‐driven and machine‐learning approaches lack physical consistency and interpretability.

From a Probabilistic PBEE Framework to Risk‐Targeted Structural Design With Cascading Hazards: Engineering Application for Seismic–Radiological Safety

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Earthquake‐induced damage of structures can trigger cascading hazards, linking structural performance to nonstructural consequences. In current engineering practice, these two aspects are typically addressed separately, limiting the ability to account for such coupled effects in design.

Rocking and Rolling of Rigid Polygons Under Seismic Excitation

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We present an event driven analytical framework for rigid cyclic polygons subjected to horizontal ground excitation in which uplift, impact, and successive pivot switching are treated within a unified non‐smooth dynamical description. Rolling is defined as a sequence of energetically admissible transitions between neighbouring vertices tied to
