Characteristics of Rendzina soils in Serbia and their WRB classification [PDF]
According to the Serbian official soil classification system, Rendzina is a soil type with an A-AC-C-R profile, developed on parent rock containing more than 20% of calcareous material (except soils with an A-R profile on hard pure limestone or dolomite).

Environmental properties of Phaeozems humus horizons of the Voronezh upland oak forest (Russia)
Abstract Within Voronezh city there is a green zone, the core of which are forest clusters of natural origin. The study sites are located in the recreational area of an upland oak forest. In such conditions, the forest litter and the upper soil horizon first experience transformation. All results were processed by StatSoft STATISTICA for

ABSTRACT Sodium pyrophosphate (NaPPi) is widely used in wet‐chemical extraction methods for assessing organo‐mineral interactions (OMIs) in soils. However, its effectiveness remains debated due to challenges in achieving specific solubilization and issues such as peptization and solubilization of organic carbon (OC) not directly associated with ...

Nutrients, Metals, and Carbon in Soils Irrigated With Treated Versus Untreated Wastewater
Transitioning from untreated to treated wastewater irrigation reduced soluble N and P but enhanced Cr, Fe and Ni mobilization in long‐term wastewater‐irrigated Mezquital Valley soils, highlighting soil‐type‐dependent effects. ABSTRACT Background Reuse of wastewater for irrigation can mitigate pressure on water resources and support closing nutrient ...

Fertilization and Aridity Legacies Determine Soil Microbial Necromass Persistence Across Climates
Climate and fertilization legacies interactively regulate microbial necromass stabilization. While mineral‐mediated protection (SRO‐based) dominates in humid regions, this mechanism weakens under aridity, shifting toward climate‐driven controls. ABSTRACT Microbial necromass‐mineral interactions are vital for soil organic carbon (C) persistence, but ...

The activity and kinetic parameters of oxidoreductases in phaeozem in response to long-term fertiliser management [PDF]
This study describes the effects of balanced versus nutrient-deficient fertilisation on soil nutrient content and selected oxidoreductase activity and kinetic parameters in a long-term (28 years) field experiment conducted using a phaeozem type soil in the Jilin Province of northeast China.

This study assessed the industrial hemp value web resilience in the Swabian Alb, Southern Germany, where regional implementation remains limited despite hemp's bioeconomy potential. Using an indicator framework and stakeholder interviews, the research found the small, fluctuating cultivation area (e.g., 25 ha in 2024) focuses on hemp seed valorisation;

Improved production systems for common bean on Phaeozem soil in South-Central Uganda [PDF]
Common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is the most important grain legume in Uganda. Beans managed under conventional systems range in yield from 500 to 800 kg ha-1, with a yield gap of about 75%. The objective of this study was to compare the productivity and net profitability of four bean cultivars grown under three management systems on Phaeozem soil ...
