Perspectives in educating molecular pathologists on liquid biopsy: Toward integrative, equitable, and decentralized precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Liquid biopsy enables minimally invasive, real‐time molecular profiling through analysis of circulating biomarkers in biological fluids. This Perspective highlights the importance of training pathologists through integrative educational programs, such as the European Masters in Molecular Pathology, to ensure effective and equitable implementation of ...

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

Fast Transient Modulation for a Step Load Change in a Dual-Active-Bridge Converter with Extended-Phase-Shift Control

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
The manipulation of the bidirectional power in a dual-active-bridge converter relies on the adjustment of several phase-shift angles. Improper implementation of those adjustments during the transient process of a step load change may induce transient DC ...

LINC01116, a hypoxia‐lncRNA marker of pathological lymphangiogenesis and poor prognosis in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

A Summary of Bidirectional DC-DC Converter Applied in Power Electronic Transformer

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu, 2017
As an intermediate link of power electronic transformer(PET), bidirectional DC-DC converter plays an important role in electrical isolation and electrical conversion. In this paper, the development of PET in recent years was illustrated.

Current Stress Optimization in Buck-Boost Mode Based on New Extended Phase-Shift Dual Active Full-Bridge Converter

open access: yesShanghai Jiaotong Daxue xuebao
To reduce the current stress of dual active full-bridge converters in the buck-boost mode, a current stress optimization control strategy based on new extended-phase-shift modulation is proposed.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Photon-photon correlations and entanglement in doped photonic crystals

open access: yes, 2000
We consider a photonic crystal (PC) doped with four-level atoms whose intermediate transition is coupled near-resonantly with a photonic band-gap edge.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
