Efficiency Improvement and High-Performance Control of Dual-Active-Bridge DC-DC Converter with Triple-Phase-Shift Modulation

open access: yesCSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems
This paper analyzes the optimal switching modes of the dual-active-bridge (DAB) DC-DC converter to minimize losses in DC-DC converters that exhibit a wide voltage range, high efficiency, and high performance.

Phase shift control and controller area network assisted proportional resonant control for grid integration of single phase voltage source inverters

open access: yesIET Power Electronics, 2021
Grid integration of inverters using renewable sources of energy is essential for providing a secure and clean source of power supply. Many techniques developed so far control the grid current to realize the regulation of power flow to the power grid ...

Gate controlled anomalous phase shift in Al/InAs Josephson junctions [PDF]

open access: yesNature Communications, 2020
AbstractIn a standard Josephson junction the current is zero when the phase difference between superconducting leads is zero. This condition is protected by parity and time-reversal symmetries. However, the combined presence of spin–orbit coupling and magnetic field breaks these symmetries and can lead to a finite supercurrent even when the phase ...

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Three-Phase AC/DC Quasi-Single-Stage Isolated Resonant PFC Converter With Integrated Transformer

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of Power Electronics
Converters that produce an isolated dc output from a three-phase mains supply are often required. Moreover, input power factor correction (PFC) functionality is essential.

Dual-Side Phase-Shift Control for Strongly Coupled Series–Series Compensated Electric Vehicle Wireless Charging Systems

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal, 2021
Wireless power transfer (WPT) for electric vehicles is an emerging technology and a future trend. To increase power density, the coupling coefficient of coils can be designed to be large, forming a strongly coupled WPT system, different from the ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Digital adaptive carrier phase estimation in multi-level phase shift keying coherent optical communication systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The analysis of adaptive carrier phase estimation is investigated in long-haul high speed n-level phase shift keying (n-PSK) optical fiber communication systems based on the one-tap normalized least-mean-square (LMS) algorithm. The close-form expressions
