Carrier recovery techniques on satellite mobile channels [PDF]

open access: yes
An analytical method and a stored channel model were used to evaluate error performance of uncoded quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) and M-ary phase shift keying (MPSK) trellis coded modulation (TCM) over shadowed satellite mobile channels in the ...

Approaching the ultimate capacity limit in deep-space optical communication

open access: yes, 2019
The information capacity of an optical channel under power constraints is ultimately limited by the quantum nature of transmitted signals. We discuss currently available and emerging photonic technologies whose combination can be shown theoretically to ...

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Influence of rubbing-alignment on microwave modulation induced by liquid crystal

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2015
The microwave modulation induced by liquid crystal is decided by the liquid crystal director distribution under an external applied voltage. The rubbing-alignment of substrate has an effect on the liquid crystal director, which must result in the change ...

Symbol error rate analysis for M-QAM modulated physical-layer network coding with phase errors

open access: yes, 2012
Recent theoretical studies of physical-layer network coding (PNC) show much interest on high-level modulation, such as M-ary quadrature amplitude modulation (M-QAM), and most related works are based on the assumption of phase synchrony.

Phase-Shift Modulation for a Current-Fed Isolated DC–DC Converter in More Electric Aircrafts

open access: yesIEEE transactions on power electronics, 2019
This paper discussed an active-bridge-active-clamp (ABAC) topology that is suitable for highpower more-electric-aircraft applications. Though conventional modulation techniques can be applied to ABAC converters, they present drawbacks, such as increased ...

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

Study of Phase-shift Super-frequency Induction Heating Power Supply

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu, 2010
Based on the comparison analysis on available induction heating power modulation, it presents a method which combines pulse-width phase-shift power modulation with fixed-angle phase-locked control to adjust the inverter output power.

Differential Full Diversity Spatial Modulation using Amplitude Phase Shift Keying [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2018
Diversity is a fundamental concept used to reduce the adverse effects of fading in wireless communications. Differential full diversity spatial modulation (DFD-SM) is a differential spatial modulation (DSM) scheme that makes use of a cyclic signaling ...
