An equation of state and a phase diagram for gas-hydrate-forming slurries in gas-shortage
Slurries of gas hydrates, especially mixed hydrates of CO2 and TBPB (Tetra-n-Butyl Phosphonium Bromide), are currently under consideration for secondary refrigeration.

QCD Equation of State and Phase Diagram from Holographic Black Holes
By using the AdS/CFT correspondence, we construct an Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton model to map the thermodynamics of strongly interacting matter. The holographic model, constrained to reproduce the lattice QCD equation of state at zero baryon chemical potential, predicts a critical end point and a first order phase transition line.

QCD phase diagram and equation of state in background electric fields
The phase diagram and the equation of state of quantum chromodynamics (QCD) is investigated in the presence of weak background electric fields by means of continuum extrapolated lattice simulations. The complex action problem at nonzero electric field is circumvented by a novel Taylor expansion, enabling the determination of the linear response of the ...

Steady-state solutions of a mass-conserving bistable equation with a saturating flux [PDF]
We consider a mass-conserving bistable equation with a saturating flux on an interval. This is the quasilinear analogue of the Rubinstein–Steinberg equation, suitable for description of order parameter conserving solid–solid phase transitions in the case

Equation of state, QCD phase diagram: Predictions from lattice QCD
I review recent results on phase structure and equation of state of strong interaction matter from lattice QCD. Particular emphasis is given to the axes where direct simulations are possible and results are obtained with sufficient control over systematic effects.

Finite to infinite steady state solutions, bifurcations of an integro-differential equation [PDF]
We consider a bistable integral equation which governs the stationary solutions of a convolution model of solid–solid phase transitions on a circle. We study the bifurcations of the set of the stationary solutions as the diffusion coefficient is varied to ...

QCD matter in strong magnetic field exhibits a rich phase structure. In the presence of an external magnetic field, the chiral Lagrangian for two flavors is accompanied by the Wess-Zumino-Witten (WZW) term containing an anomalous coupling of the neutral ...

Polysaccharide determination in protein/polysaccharide mixtures for phase-diagram construction [PDF]
The effect of protein removal from protein–polysaccharide mixtures on the determination of total sugar concentration for phase-diagram construction was explored by response surface methodology.

Study of gold-based alloy phase diagrams [PDF]
This thesis was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and awarded by Brunel University. The partial constitutions of the Au-Ge-X and Au-Pb-X ternary alloys have been investigated, where X is a metallic element, selected from the sub-groups ...
