Hollow Silica Photonic Crystal Fiber Guiding 101 Orbital Angular Momentum Modes Without Phase Distortion in C+L Band

Journal of Lightwave Technology, 2020
We propose a new hollow ring core silica photonic crystal fiber that can support 101 orbital angular momentum (OAM) modes, maintaining a high mode quality without phase distortion, a low confinement loss, and a large effective index difference between ...

PHASE INSTABILITIES OF DISTORTED HEXAGONAL PATTERNS

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2001
We present an analytical study on the stability of distorted hexagonal patterns. From a general amplitude equation we calculate the instabilities with respect to homogeneous and longwave perturbations. The latter lead to the phase equations that permit to determine the stability regions. Slightly squeezed hexagons are locally stable in a full range of

Single-Channel Speech Enhancement With Phase Reconstruction Based on Phase Distortion Averaging

IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio Speech and Language Processing, 2018
Speech enhancement has been widely investigated for several decades, but by modifying only the amplitude spectrum of a speech signal, ignoring the phase spectrum, which has been regarded as an unimportant feature.

Learning Phase Distortion with Selective State Space Models for Video Turbulence Mitigation

Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition
Atmospheric turbulence is a major source of image degradation in long-range imaging systems. Although numerous deep learning-based turbulence mitigation (TM) methods have been proposed, many are slow, memory-hungry, and do not generalize well.

Terahertz Ring-Core Fiber for First-Order Radial OAM Modes Transmission Without Phase Distortion

IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics
We propose a hollow ring core fiber with multi-layer annular cladding that can stably transmit 34 orbital angular momentum (OAM) modes without the excitation of second-order radial modes and phase distortion.

Perceptual identification and discrimination of phase distortions

ICASSP '83. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
Experimental results on the audibility of phase distortion produced by minimum-phase 4kHz and 15 kHz anti-alias filters are reported. Numerous impulse response pairs with identical spectral magnitudes but linear-phase and minimum-phase responses were compared by five test subjects who listened dichotically on earphones.

Correcting phase distortion of phase shifting method

The 1st IEEE Global Conference on Consumer Electronics 2012, 2012
We propose a method of correcting phase distortion which is caused when measuring any objects by phase shifting method with an ordinary projector. We have measured some objects with the projector which is commercially available [1]. In this paper, we try to improve the precision with the proposing method.

Phase Distortion of Averaged Electroencepha

Archives of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, 1974
Analog filters employed in most averaged electroencephalic response (AER) recording systems impose some phase distortion on recorded AER. Phase distortion of the response results in a real time shift of peak latencies. The extent of this distortion, in general, is determined by the cutoff frequencies of the filter band in relation to the spectrum of ...
