Sequential Subspace Optimization Design of a Dual Three-Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Hub Motor Based on NSGA III

IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification, 2023
The multiobjective optimization design of dual three-phase permanent magnet synchronous hub motors (PMSHMs) is challenging due to the high dimension and huge computation cost of finite-element analysis (FEA). A new multiobjective optimization strategy is

Controlled Optimization of Phases at an Intersection

Transportation Science, 1997
This paper presents a general purpose algorithm for real-time traffic control at an intersection. Our methodology, based on dynamic programming, allows optimization of a variety of performance indices such as delay, stops and queue lengths. Furthermore, optimal phase sequencing is a direct by-product of this new approach.

Optimization-Based Maximum-Torque Fault-Tolerant Control of Dual Three-Phase PMSM Drives Under Open-Phase Fault

IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2023
In this article, a novel optimization-based maximum-torque fault-tolerant control scheme is proposed for the open-phase fault of dual three-phase permanent-magnet synchronous motor drive.

Phase Directed Compiler Optimizations

2016 IEEE 23rd International Conference on High Performance Computing (HiPC), 2016
Profile-guided optimizing compilers learn from representative executions of a program to "tune" transformations so as to benefit frequent paths. However, these optimizations view the whole run of a program in a monolithic manner. It is known that a program execution proceeds in phases—each phase corresponding to an identifiable set of control-flow ...

A New 2-Phase Optimization-Based Guaranteed Connected Target Coverage for Wireless Sensor Networks

IEEE Sensors Journal, 2020
Relying on a limited power source, WSNs present one of their most challenging concerns as energy consumption. In addition, coverage and connectivity are important quality of service metrics in the networks.

Simulated wrapped phase optimizes phase retrieval in phase-shifting interferometry

Optics Letters, 2023
Phase retrieval is crucial in phase-shifting interferometry and other phase measurement techniques. However, in noisy wrapped phase maps with high steepness, discontinuities arise and cause phase unwrapping errors. To solve this problem, this Letter presents a phase retrieval method based on a simulated wrapped phase. By establishing the correspondence

Optimal symbolic phase determination

Acta Crystallographica Section A Foundations of Crystallography, 1987
In spite of various differences, direct-method programs have one procedure in common. After normalizing the structure factors and generating the phase relations, a convergence procedure (Germain, Main & Woolfson, 1970) is invoked in order to get a (small) set of starting reflections. After fixing the origin with a subset of the starting set reflections,

Optimized random phase encryption

Optics Letters, 2018
We propose for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, the use of optimized random phases (ORAPs) in a double random phase encryption scheme (DRPE). In DRPE schemes the convolution between two random phase functions encrypts the information to be secured.
