Coherent beam combining with multilevel optical phase-locked loops [PDF]
Coherent beam combining (CBC) technology holds the promise of enabling laser systems with very high power and near-ideal beam quality. We propose and demonstrate a novel servo system composed of multilevel optical phase lock loops.

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

New intensity and visibility aspects of a double loop neutron interferometer
Various phase shifters and absorbers can be put into the arms of a double loop neutron interferometer. The mean intensity levels of the forward and diffracted beams behind an empty four plate interferometer of this type have been calculated.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Passive Reciprocal high-pass/low-pass 4-bit phase shifter at 2.45 GHz [PDF]
This paper presents the design, fabrication and measurement of a low cost, reciprocal 4-bit phase shifter at 2.45 GHz ISM band using COTS components. High-pass/low-pass filters in π configuration are used to implement the phase shifter bit sections. SPDT

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
