Integrated Adjustable Phase Shifters
IEEE Microwave Magazine, 2010When examining a monthly bank account statement, it is not only the number below the bottom line that matters. Whether that number has a minus or plus in front of it is crucial. For many technical problems, the sign matters as well. In circuits, we can change the sign by means of phase shifters.

Monolithic Phase Shifter Study
1987Abstract : Modeling and testing of monolithic coplanar waveguide (CPW) phase shifters using both optical and Schottky-contact control techniques have been performed. Simulation work on a periodically illuminated structure has been completed, showing that some improvement in performance may be possible, although with a reduction in frequency bandwidth ...

1973 IEEE G-MTT International Microwave Symposium, 1973
Characteristics of two novel microwave semiconductor switching devices which do not require forward current for switching are described. These devices effectively eliminate the need for drivers in phased array antennas; hence, greatly reducing the cost of phased array RADARs.

Wide-band monolithic phase shifter
IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices, 1984A wide-band monolithic phase shifter operating in the 2-8- GHz frequency range is described. Six GaAs FET's per bit are used as switch elements in a bridge configuration which alternatively becomes a high-pass or a low-pass section. Their low-impedance state is modeled as a resistor, the high-impedance state as a combination of capacitors and resistors.

Arbitrary phase shifters with decreasing phase
2015 38th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP), 2015This paper describes a new class of the versatile network elements for analog signal processing; two-ports with frequency dependent phase shift which starts with arbitrary value and tends towards different but still arbitrary value. Speaking in terms of the complex frequency response plotted in polar coordinates the characteristics can connect any two ...

Achromatic optical phase shifter–modulator
Optics Letters, 2001We propose and demonstrate, theoretically and experimentally, a novel achromatic optical phase shifter-modulator based on a frequency-domain optical delay line configured to maintain zero group delay as variable phase delay is generated by means of tilting a mirror.

The Comparison between Slide Phase Shifter and Pointer Phase Shifter
2007 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2007The pointer phase shifter and slide phase shifter have been widely utilized in electrically adjustable antennas of mobile communication base-stations. We propose the equivalent-circuit models of the phase shifters, to analyze them. The simulation results are compared to show their different transmission and phase shifting performance, which is useful ...
