High Power Phase Shifter

Proceedings of the 2005 Particle Accelerator Conference, 2006
One of the approaches to power distribution system of a superconducting proton linac that is under discussion at Fermilab requires development of a fast-action, megawatt-range phase shifter. Using two phase shifters with a waveguide hybrid junction can allow independent control of phase and amplitude of RF power at the input of each superconducting ...

Paraelectric film phase shifter

13th International Conference on Microwaves, Radar and Wireless Communications. MIKON - 2000. Conference Proceedings (IEEE Cat. No.00EX428), 2002
A key component of a phased array antenna is a phase shifter. The current status of ferroelectric (and paraelectric) thin film processing enables one to expect that a tuned microwave device based on this film can be competitive with microwave ferrite and PIN diode phase shifters. An epitaxial film of BST-Ba/sub 0.5/Sr/sub 0.5/TiO/sub 3/-composition was

Memristor-Based Phase Shifter

2018 2nd International Symposium on Multidisciplinary Studies and Innovative Technologies (ISMSIT), 2018
Memristor is a new nonlinear circuit element. It is a special case of memristive systems. It has a charge-dependent resistance and a frequency dependent hysteresis curve when excited with an AC source. It has been claimed as the fourth fundamental circuit element in 1971 and a solid-state thin film behaving as a memristor system is found in 2008 ...

20. Phase Shifter

1969
Publisher Summary This chapter describes the phase shifter. In a measurement circuit, a microwave source supplies two signal paths through a power splitter. Power passes in one of the signal paths through a test section to the left side arm of a magic tee. It passes directly to the right side arm of the magic tee in the other path.

Nonresonant Semiconductor Phase Shifter

IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1982
Distributed p-i-n diodes were appended to the sidewalls of dielectric waveguides in order to produce phase shifters and line-scanning antennas since a change in conductivity of the bulk semiconductor material will change the wavelength in the dielectric guide. RF losses have been reported when the p-i-n modulators are used in this manner.

Wide band phase shifters

IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation, 1967
Latching ferrite phase shifters, in waveguide, with digital control have been used in the past and have, in particular, found application in phased arrays. The devices are capable of extremely wide bandwidth. The authors present the configuration of a phase shifter constructed with Trans Tech TT1-109 ferrite.

Differential Microwave Phase Shifter

Radio Science, 1968
A waveguide phase shifter has been designed which is capable of providing extremely small, accurately controlled phase shifts. Three prototypes have been constructed and operate as predicted.

Wideband 90° Phase Shifters

2003
The wideband 90° phase shifter is a critical building block in image-reject receivers, quadrature demodulators as described in the previous chapter, and many other applications where quadrature signal generation is required [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]. The performance of the 90° phase shifter is directly linked to the image rejection performance of those ...
