Bias-free spin-wave phase shifter for magnonic logic

open access: yes, 2016
A design of a magnonic phase shifter operating without an external bias magnetic field is proposed. The phase shifter uses a localized collective spin wave mode propagating along a domain wall "waveguide" in a dipolarly-coupled magnetic dot array ...

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Analysis of Transmission-Line-Based Quasi-All-Pass Network for Phase-Shifter Design

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Microwaves
All-passnetworks (APNs) have long been used in the design of phase shifters. A transmission-line-based quasi-all-pass network (TL-based QAPN) is a series-$C$-configured second-order common-mode APN with its two inductors respectively replaced by two ...

A Programmable Phase Shifter for Sinusoidal Signals

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 1998
A simple current(voltage)-controlled phase shifter is presented. The circuit uses a small number of active and passive Components. The feasibility of obtaining a temperature-insensitive phase shifter is explored.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Design of a Ka‐band low‐cost microstrip line phase shifter and a sum‐difference beam antenna based on liquid crystal technology

open access: yesElectronics Letters
This letter presents a Ka‐band low‐cost microstrip line phase shifter based on liquid crystal (LC) technology. Furthermore, a sum‐difference beamforming antenna array based on the LC phase shifter is designed. The phase shifter is composed of two coaxial

The Design of a 140 GHz 28 nm CMOS Vector-Sum Phase Shifter Based on Gilbert Cell and Current-Steering Amplifiers

open access: yesChips
This paper presents the design of a 140 GHz vector-sum phase shifter in a 28 nm CMOS process. Two variable-gain amplifiers—Gilbert cell and current-steering amplifiers—are investigated and compared.

All-Optical Photonic Microwave Phase Shifter Requiring Only a Single DC Voltage Control

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2016
An all-optical photonic microwave phase shifter that requires only a single dc voltage control to realize continuous 0° to 360° radio-frequency (RF) signal phase shift over a wide frequency range is presented.

Constant-amplitude, frequency- independent phase shifter [PDF]

open access: yes, 1971
Electronic circuit using operational amplifiers provides output with constant phase shift amplitude, with respect to sinusoidal input, over wide range of frequencies. New circuit includes field effect transistor, Q, operational amplifiers, A1 and A2, and
