Properties of State Estimation for Power System with Quadrature Booster in Rectangular Coordinates
The paper presents a state estimation of a power system with a phase shifter. A new versatile model of the phase shifter for steady state analyses is introduced. The mentioned model allows for consideration of different types of phase shifters.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Polarization controllable TM01-TE11 mode converter for high power microwaves
An X-band GW-level polarization controllable TM01-TE11 mode converter for high power microwave (HPM) systems is proposed. The mode converter consists of a TM01-TE10 mode coupler, a TE11-TE10 mode coupler and four phase shifters.

Mechanisms of IgE‐mediated food allergy and the role of allergen‐specific B cells
Food allergy arises when allergen‐specific B cells preferentially produce immunoglobulin E (IgE) antibodies against harmless foods. This article explains the mechanisms driving IgE‐mediated reactions, highlights the central role of these B cells, and discusses how natural tolerance (NT) and oral immunotherapy (OIT) can reshape allergic immune responses.

Spectral Purity Enhancement via Polyphase Multipath Circuits [PDF]
The central question of this paper is: can we enhance the spectral purity of nonlinear circuits by using polyphase multipath circuits? The basic idea behind polyphase multipath circuits is to split the nonlinear circuits into two or more paths and ...

Non-cyclic Geometric Phase due to Spatial Evolution in a Neutron Interferometer
We present a split-beam neutron interferometric experiment to test the non-cyclic geometric phase tied to the spatial evolution of the system: the subjacent two-dimensional Hilbert space is spanned by the two possible paths in the interferometer and the ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Toward the information-theoretic limit of programmable photonics [PDF]
The scalability of many programmable photonic circuits is limited by the 2π tuning range needed for the constituent phase shifters. To address this problem, we introduce the concept of a phase-efficient circuit architecture, where the average phase shift

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

KLM quantum computation as a measurement based computation
We show that the Knill Laflamme Milburn method of quantum computation with linear optics gates can be interpreted as a one-way, measurement based quantum computation of the type introduced by Briegel and Rausendorf.
