Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

A Design Proposal Using Coherently Radiating Periodic Structures (CORPSs) for 2-D Phased Arrays of Limited Scanning

open access: yesApplied Sciences
New configurations of 2-D phased arrays are proposed in this paper for reducing the number of phase shifters. This design methodology is based on the use of a novel coherently radiating periodic structures (CORPSs) block for 2-D phased arrays.

Generalized Analysis Method for a Class of Novel Wideband Loaded-Stub Phase Shifters [PDF]

open access: yesRadioengineering, 2015
In this paper, an analysis method of wideband loaded-stub phase shifters and a fast designing procedure is presented. These kinds of phase shifters use a transmission line loaded with one or two open stubs and a reference line to achieve up to 135° phase

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

Birefringent achromatic phase shifters for nulling interferometry and phase coronagraphy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Achromatic Phase Shifters are mandatory components in the field of nulling interferometry and phase coronagraphy. Indeed, in order to detect faint objects (e.g. exo-planets) around a central bright star, one must attenuate the latter by all means.

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Coupled Mode Design of Low-Loss Electromechanical Phase Shifters

open access: yesMicro
Micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) have the potential to provide low-power phase shifting in silicon photonics, but techniques for designing low-loss devices are necessary for adoption of the technology.
