Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Bang-bang phase-locked loops (BBPLLs) are inherently nonlinear due to the hard nonlinearity introduced by the binary phase detector (BPD). This paper provides an exact statistical analysis of the steady-state timing jitter in a first order BBPLL when ...

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Phase Transition Thermodynamics of 1,3,5-Tris-(α-naphthyl)benzene: Theory and Experiment
1,3,5-Tris-(α-naphthyl)benzene is an organic non-electrolyte with notable stability of an amorphous phase. Its glassy and supercooled liquid states were previously studied by spectroscopic and calorimetric methods.

Theory of Smeared Quantum Phase Transitions
We present an analytical strong-disorder renormalization group theory of the quantum phase transition in the dissipative random transverse-field Ising chain. For Ohmic dissipation, we solve the renormalization flow equations analytically, yielding asymptotically exact results for the low-temperature properties of the system.

Inhomogeneous superfluid phases in 6Li-40K mixtures at unitarity
We show that the ultracold three-dimensional 6Li-40K mixture at unitarity can exhibit the highly exotic Larkin-Ovchinnikov superfluid phase. We determine the phase diagram for majorities of 40K atoms within mean-field theory taking the inhomogeneities of

A compressible mixture model with phase transition [PDF]
We introduce a new thermodynamically consistent diffuse interface model of Allen--Cahn/Navier--Stokes type for multi-component flows with phase transitions and chemical reactions.

Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

On Phase Three of the Shifting-Balance Theory [PDF]
A common conclusion in several recent publications devoted to the deterministic analysis of the third phase of Wright's shifting-balance theory is that under reasonable conditions phase three should proceed easily. I argue that the mathematical equations analyzed in these papers do not correspond to the biological situation they were meant to describe.
