Symmetric-Asymmetric transition in mixtures of Bose-Einstein condensates
We propose a new kind of quantum phase transition in phase separated mixtures of Bose-Einstein condensates. In this transition, the distribution of the two components changes from a symmetric to an asymmetric shape.

The power of microRNA regulation—insights into immunity and metabolism
MicroRNAs are emerging as crucial regulators at the intersection of metabolism and immunity. This review examines how miRNAs coordinate glucose and lipid metabolism while simultaneously modulating T‐cell development and immune responses. Moreover, it highlights how cutting‐edge artificial intelligence applications can identify miRNA biomarkers ...

Cosmological phase transition of spontaneous confinement
The dynamics of a cosmological (de)confinement phase transition is studied in nearly conformally invariant field theories, where confinement is predominantly spontaneously generated and associated with a light “dilaton” field.

Is There a Phase Transition in the Isotropic Heisenberg Antiferromagnet on the Triangular Lattice? [PDF]
The phase diagram of the classical anisotropic (XXZ) Heisenberg model on the 2-dimensional triangular lattice is investigated using Monte Carlo methods. In the easy-axis limit, two finite temperature vortex unbinding transitions have been observed. In the easy-plane limit, there also appear to be two distinct finite temperature phase transitions.

Eight-potential-well order-disorder ferroelectric model and effects of random fields
An eight-potential-well order-disorder ferroelectric model was presented and the phase transition was studied under the mean-field approximation. It was shown that the two-body interactions are able to account for the first-order and the second order ...

Cosmic phase transitions [PDF]
AbstractThe sequence of phase transitions during the hot history of the universe is followed within a phenomenological framework. Particular emphasis is put on the QCD confinement transition, which is at reach under earth laboratory conditions. A tepid inflationary scenario on the GUT scale with bubble growth at moderate supercooling is discussed.

Identification of novel small molecule inhibitors of ETS transcription factors
ETS transcription factors play an essential role in tumourigenesis and are indispensable for sprouting angiogenesis, a hallmark of cancer, which fuels tumour expansion and dissemination. Thus, targeting ETS transcription factor function could represent an effective, multifaceted strategy to block tumour growth. The evolutionarily conserved E‐Twenty‐Six

Skyrmion crystals: Dynamics and phase transition
We study a crystal of skyrmions generated on a square lattice using a ferromagnetic exchange interaction and a Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction between nearest-neighbors under an external magnetic field.
