Using vanadium dioxide critical thermistors to protect solar cells from overheating
The overheating caused by electrical loads is one of the essential factors impairing the reliability of photovoltaic components of solar cells. The most common technical solution to this problem is to use such additional elements as bypass diodes ...

In situ Auger Electron Spectroscopy resolves oxidation states with high fidelity during the pulsed laser deposition of multivalent perovskite manganate and vanadate heterostructures. The chemical‐state signature is carried by the valence‐electron population of the transition‐metal cation, read out through the relative intensities of Auger fine ...

A three‐dimensional magnetic field sensor is realized in chiral W/CoFeB/MgO multilayers, where spin–orbit torques reversibly reconfigure homochiral stripe domains. The symmetry of the torque enables offset‐free in‐plane sensing, while the reproducible domain reconfiguration extends the linear out‐of‐plane range. An anomalous Hall readout delivers large‐

Titanium Suboxides Responsible for Electronic Anomaly Near Room Temperature in the Ti3C2Tx MXene
Our multi‐technique study reveals that the near‐room‐temperature anomaly in Ti3C2Tx MXene is linked to titanium suboxide nanodomains, including Ti3O5, embedded within the MXene host. Their temperature‐driven transformation provides an alternative explanation to solvent‐ and swelling‐based models and offers new insight into the thermally activated ...
