Development and Reproduction of Nesidiocoris tenuis Reuter (Heteroptera: Miridae): The Effect of Temperature, Origin and Food

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, EarlyView.
Nymphal development took longer at 25°C than 30°C, and the Greek N. tenuis population developed more slowly than the commercial population. Nymphs clearly preferred E. kuehniella eggs over Artemia sp. cysts when both were offered equally. Egg production increased at 30°C, while female longevity declined.

Adaptabilidade e estabilidade fenotípica em genótipos de feijão de cor (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) em três ambientes distintos Adaptability and fenotypic stability of collor bean genotypes (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) in three different environments

Genome-Wide Association Studies of Anthracnose and Angular Leaf Spot Resistance in Common Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.)

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
The common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) is the world’s most important legume for human consumption. Anthracnose (ANT; Colletotrichum lindemuthianum) and angular leaf spot (ALS; Pseudocercospora griseola) are complex diseases that cause major yield losses

Performance of Fall Armyworm Spodoptera frugiperda Reared on Various Horticultural Crops

open access: yesEntomologia Experimentalis et Applicata, EarlyView.
The developmental performance and reproductive success of the Australian population of fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda) were evaluated on five horticultural crops under laboratory conditions. Sweetcorn and bean supported rapid development, lower mortality, and higher fecundity (good performance); whereas capsicum, strawberry, and okra resulted in ...
