Localizable Fluorescent Metal Ion Indicators With Tunable Colors
A modular platform enables the generation of fluorescent metal ion indicators with tunable emission colors and precise subcellular localization. Conjugation to self‐labeling proteins yields bright, color‐tunable potassium probes that permit wash‐free live‐cell imaging, revealing dynamic potassium efflux in stimulated neurons.

Fluorinated tetraphenylethene (TPE) derivatives were developed as interfacial layers for perovskite solar cells. The optimized TFP‐TPE enhances interfacial compatibility, suppresses molecular aggregation, and improves charge extraction. Devices incorporating TFP‐TPE achieved a record efficiency of 25.29% and outstanding stability under humidity and ...

Synthesis and characterization of novel thieno[3,2-b]thiophene based metal-free organic dyes with different heteroaromatic donor moieties as sensitizers for dye-sensitized solar cells [PDF]
Four novel heterocycle dyes 3a-d were synthesized in order to study the variations produced in the optical, electronic and photovoltaic properties by substitution of different electron-rich heterocyclic groups to the thieno[3,2-b]thiophene system.

Memristors based on trimethylsulfonium (phenanthroline)tetraiodobismuthate have been utilised as a nonlinear node in a delayed feedback reservoir. This system allowed an efficient classification of acoustic signals, namely differentiation of vocalisation of the brushtail possum (Trichosurus vulpecula).

Nucleophilic additions to coordinated 1,10-phenanthroline: intramolecular, intermolecular, reversible, and irreversible [PDF]
KN(SiMe3)2 reacts with [Re(CO)3(phen)(PMe3)]OTf via reversible addition to the phen ligand and irreversible deprotonation of the PMe3 ligand followed by intramolecular attack to phen by the deprotonated phosphane, whereas MeLi irreversibly adds to phen ...

Synthesis and evaluation of NLO properties of π-conjugated donor‐acceptor systems bearing pyrrole and thiophene heterocycles [PDF]
Two series of novel push-pull heterocyclic azo dyes have been synthesized and characterized. The two series of compounds were based on different combinations of π-conjugated bridges (bithiophene and thienylpyrrole) which also act simultaneously as donor ...

4-Pregnen-21-ol-3,20-dione-21-(4-bromobenzenesulfonate) (NSC 88915) and related novel steroid derivatives as tyrosyl-DNA phosphodiesterase (Tdp1) inhibitors [PDF]
Tyrosyl-DNA phosphodiesterase 1 (Tdp1) is an enzyme that catalyzes the hydrolysis of 3'-phosphotyrosyl bonds. Such linkages form in vivo when topoisomerase I (Top1) processes DNA.
