Synthesis of spirolactones from carbonyls via carboborylation of N‐sulfonylhydrazones with alkoxycarbonylalkylboronic acids

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Accepted Article.
A straightforward synthesis of spirolactones from carbonyls via N‐tosylhydrazones is described. The process consist in the reaction between the N‐tosylhydrazone and ethoxycarbonylethylboronic acid or ethoxycarbonylpropylboronic acid, leading to spiro γ‐butyrolactones or δ‐valerolactones respectively. The transformation takes place by carboborylation of

Development of Hydrofluoroolefin (HFO)‐Based Direct O‐Fluoroalkenylation of Phenols Targeting Tyrosine Conjugation

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
Abstract Methodology for direct fluoroalkenylation of phenolic OH function was developed using a fluorinated electrophilic reagent derived from HFO1234ze gas. Besides various functionalized phenols, tyrosine and tyrosine‐based peptides were successfully conjugated under the optimized reaction conditions.

C–H Homocoupling of Arenes via Pd/S,O‐Ligand Catalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, EarlyView.
An efficient C‐H homocoupling of arenes via Pd/S,O‐ligand catalytic system is reported. This method can be applied to a series of arenes using O2 as oxidant under room temperature and is also applicable for late‐stage homocoupling of pharmaceutical derivatives.

Exploring Gelatin‐A and Mouse Proline‐Rich Protein 5 as Probes for Wine Polyphenol Analysis by Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel strategy for the detection of polyphenols in wine. By combining Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation Monitoring and original functionalization strategies, Gelatin A from porcine skin and Mouse Proline‐Rich Protein 5, polyphenols are successfully detected directly in wine without any prior sample preparation ...
