Genetic diversity analysis of angled luffa germplasm resources based on phenotypic traits and resequencing data

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science
IntroductionPhenotypic evaluation and whole-genome resequencing (WGR) techniques play critical roles in the identification and utilization of crop germplasm resources.

Distribution of morphological traits in ornamental peach cultivars according to their priority

open access: yesТруды по прикладной ботанике, генетике и селекции, 2019
Background. Distinguishing morphological traits of peach varieties (Prunus persica (L.) Batsch) and their gradations to a greater extent reflect the range of variability characteristic of the peach cultivars grown for fruit.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Phenotypic diversity in four woody species on the Canadian prairies

open access: yes, 2000
Genetic diversity is a prerequisite for plant adaptation and maintenance of a sustainable ecosystem. Not much information is available on the genetic diversity of woody species on the semi-arid Canadian prairies.

Phenotypic Diversity within Ugandan Yam (Dioscorea species) Germplasm Collection

open access: yes, 2022
A proper understanding of the diversity of the available germplasm is an initial step for the genetic improvement of a crop through breeding. However, there is limited information on the diversity of Uganda’s yam germplasm.

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Intraspecific genetic and phenotypic diversity: parallel processes and correlated patterns?

open access: yes, 2018
Intraspecific diversity plays a key role for evolutionary and ecological dynamics. It is the raw material on which acts selection, it improves species and communities resilience to disturbance and it affects the way species modulate their biotic and ...
