In the title compound, C(6)H(8)N(2), there are four mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit, with each mol-ecule, including the H atoms on the N atoms of the amino groups, showing local C2 symmetry. In the crystal structure, all except one of the NH(2) groups participate in N-H⋯O hydrogen bonding.

One-pot hydrogen peroxide and hydrohalic acid induced ring closure and selective aromatic halogenation to give new ring-fused benzimidazoles [PDF]
A new series of selectively dichlorinated and dibrominated five to eight-membered ring [1,2-a] fused benzimidazoles and [1,4]oxazino[4,3-a]benzimidazoles are synthesized in mostly high yields of >80% using the reaction of hydrogen peroxide and hydrohalic

Spark plasma sintering enables rapid processing of porous organic polymer (POP) from fine powders to a freestanding and mechanically robust monolith. The sintering process retains the CO2 adsorption capacity and CO2/N2 selectivity, making the monolith more suitable as a solid sorbent for practical carbon capture applications.

Condensation of 4-hydroxy-2-thiazolines with 1,2-phenylenediamine as a novel effective route to thiazolo[3,4-a]quinoxalines [PDF]
Thiazolo[3,4-a]quinoxalin-4-ones were prepared in two steps starting from methyl phenylchloropyruvate using a new strategy for the construction of the ring system. A key step in this new method involves the reaction of 4-hydroxytetrahydrothiazoles with 1,
