Hijacking the Host Clock: A Nematode Effector Antagonizes Soybean Circadian Defense and Translation Control

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Soybean employs its circadian clock, governed by GmCCA1, to rhythmically defend against soybean cyst nematodes. The pathogen retaliates by secreting the effector Hg4E02, which hijacks the clock to suppress defense and co‐opt the host's translation machinery for nutrient acquisition.

Spontaneous Non‐Catalyzed Molecular Reactions and Interactions in the Human Body: Biomedical Implications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The human body functions as a natural reactor for a vast network of chemical and biological reactions and physical interactions among small molecules, proteins, cells, and numerous other components. These reactions/interactions are essential for maintaining normal physiological functions.

Crosslinking of Linear Polyimines Into Aminal‐Linked Porous Organic Polymers for C2 Hydrocarbon/Methane Separation

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Crosslinking of linear polyimines with aromatic diamines via nucleophilic addition converts nonporous polyimine precursors into aminal‐linked porous networks, offering a new strategy for synthesizing porous organic polymers. The resulting materials exhibit high C2 hydrocarbon adsorption capacity, excellent selectivity over CH4, and durable cyclic ...

The photosensitivity of EOM from diatom and its mediation of the photodegradation of p-phenylenediamines [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
Algal extracellular organic matter (EOM) can promote the photodegradation of p- phenylenediamines (PPDs), yet its effects exhibit highly compound-specific.

Covalent Bonds Reinforced Strength and Modulus of Heterocyclic Aramid Fiber by Interfacial Aminated‐MXene Nanosheets

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate the covalent bonds strategy to enhance the mechanical property of PBIA fiber by using interfacial MXene‐NH2 nanosheets. The MXene‐NH2 nanosheets with reactive amino sites that can serve as nucleating agents and chain anchors to enhance orientation, crystallinity and interchain interaction of PBIA fiber via strong interfacial amido ...

Synthesis of substituted 2-(1,2,4- triazol-3-yl)benzimidazoles

open access: yesТонкие химические технологии, 2006
A solution-phase synthesis for the preparation of substituted 2-(1,2,4-triazol-3- yl)benzimidazoles from triazole aldehydes and ortho-phenylenediamines has been developed for the purpose of producing diverse lead generation libraries.

Sustainable Electropolymerization of Zingerone and Its C2 Symmetric Dimer for Amperometric Biosensor Films

open access: yesMolecules, 2023
Polymeric permselective films are frequently used for amperometric biosensors to prevent electroactive interference present in the target matrix. Phenylenediamines are the most commonly used for the deposition of shielding polymeric films against ...

Substrate‐Affinitive P‐Type Azapolycyclic Photosensitizer for Chemoselective Nitrilization Under Mild Conditions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a series of quinoxalinoquinoxaline (QQ) photosensitizers featuring high and tunable excited‐state reduction potentials (E(PC•+/PC*) = –1.76 to –2.05 V vs. SCE). Their hydrogen‐bonding interaction with carbonyl substrates enables selective single‐electron transfer events for selective nitrilization of 1° amides, offering a tunable ...

Patch testing with hydroxyethyl-p-phenylenediamine sulfate - cross-reactivity with p-phenylenediamine

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, 2011
Adverse reactions to permanent hair dyes are frequent, and primarily result from sensitization to p-phenylenediamine (PPD).To investigate the degree of cross-reactivity to a chemically similar dye, hydroxyethyl-p-phenylenediamine sulfate (HPPS), and whether this might be a dyeing alternative for patients who are sensitive to PPD.HPPS was patch tested ...
