An Unscented Kalman Filter Based on-line Diagnostic Approach For PEM Fuel Cell Flooding

open access: yesInternational Journal of Prognostics and Health Management, 2014
Poor water management usually leads to various degrees of flooding in the hydrogen type fuel cell, affecting both the instantaneous performance and the long-term durability of the system adversely.

Isospin-breaking in $\varepsilon'/\varepsilon$: Impact of $\eta_0$ at the Dawn of the 2020s

open access: yes, 2020
For direct CP-violation in $K\to\pi\pi$ decays, the usual isospin-breaking effects at the percent level are amplified by the dynamics behind the $\Delta I=1/2$ rule and conventionally encoded in $\Omega_{\rm IB}$ parameters.

Data-driven Application of PHM to Asset Strategies

open access: yesAnnual Conference of the PHM Society, 2018
There are many benefits from implementing a prognostics and health management (PHM) initiative in an industrial facility, such as realizing potentials from reducing unplanned downtime and increased asset efficiency.

Gene‐specific double‐stranded RNAs induce mortality in the South African mealybug Delottococcus aberiae

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 6, Page 5184-5194, June 2026.
Gene‐specific double‐stranded RNAs effectively silence essential genes in the invasive citrus pest Delottococcus aberiae, leading to significant mortality through both microinjection and oral delivery. These results provide proof of concept for RNA interference‐based biopesticides as selective and sustainable tools for citrus integrated pest management.

Quasi-invariants of dihedral systems

open access: yes, 2003
A basis of quasi-invariant module over invariants is explicitly constructed for the two-dimensional Coxeter systems with arbitrary multiplicities. It is proved that this basis consists of $m$-harmonic polynomials, thus the earlier results of Veselov and ...

Preservation of Extracellular Vesicle Integrity and Cargo Using Spiral Microfluidic Chip‐Based Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, Volume 11, Issue 9, 6 May 2026.
A spiral microfluidic chip is compared with ultrafiltration for the separation of extracellular vesicles (EVs). The method preserves miRNA cargo and membrane integrity more effectively, resulting in intact vesicle morphology and consistent surface biomarker expression.

Poly(Hydroxybutyrate‐Co‐Hydroxyvalerate)/Thermoplastic Starch Blends for Application in Biodegradable Mulch Films

open access: yesPolymer Engineering &Science, Volume 66, Issue 5, Page 3751-3765, May 2026.
Poly(hydroxybutyrate‐co‐hydroxyvalerate)/thermoplastic starch blends, produced by melt processing, showed improvements in mechanical properties and water vapor transmission barrier performance, which can help control excessive water evaporation from the soil, thus contributing to pH and moisture regulation.
