Development of data-driven PHM solutions for robot hemming in automotive production lines [PDF]
Robotic roller hemming is currently one of the most used solution for joining metal sheets in automotive industry, especially for those production lines which need to favor flexibility with respect to raw productivity and is mostly employed to assemble ...

Estimation of State-of-Charge and Capacity of Used Lithium-Ion Cells
We describe an approach to estimate state-of-charge and faded capacity of cobalt-based lithium-ion cell based on timedomain analysis of a short-term transient.

Advances in machine learning (ML) techniques allow practitioners to generate substantial predictive value from historical data. Modern sensors generate vast amounts of data which inform prognostic health management (PHM) systems. As ML techniques continue to grow in importance for PHM, the system that manages and deploys ML models becomes critical for ...

Availability Model of a PHM-Equipped Component [PDF]
—A variety of prognostic and health management (PHM) algorithms have been developed in the last years and some metrics have been proposed to evaluate their performances. However , a general framework that allows us to quantify the benefit of PHM depending on these metrics is still lacking.

ABSTRACT This study objective was to evaluate hollow fiber membranes for concentration of enveloped enteric viruses in sewage and surface water samples. Microfiltration (MF, 0.2 µm nominal pore size) and ultrafiltration (UF, 100 kDa molecular weight cut‐off) hollow fiber membranes were compared for the concentration of the bovine respiratory syncytial ...

Deep Variational Autoencoder: An Efficient Tool for PHM Frameworks
International audienceDeep learning (DL) has been recently used in several applications of machine health monitoring systems. Unfortunately , most of these DL models are considered as black-boxes with low interpretability. In this research, we propose an

On Adversarial Vulnerability of PHM algorithms – An initial Study
In almost all PHM applications, driving highest possible performance (prediction accuracy and robustness) of PHM models (fault detection, fault diagnosis and prognostics) has been the top development priority, since PHM models’ performance directly impacts how much business value the PHM models can bring. However, recent research work in other domains,

Multi‐Scale Investigation of Supramolecular Organogels Assembled From Pt(II)‐Salphen Complexes
A family of Pt(II)‐salphen complexes with long alkyl chains is investigated as low‐molecular‐weight organogelators. Multi‐scale characterization of their supramolecular gels reveals how the chain length, Pt‐Pt interactions, and π–π stacking direct self‐assembly and tune gel mechanics.
