The Effects of Polymer–Nitrogen Fertilizer on Biomes in Drip-Irrigated Wheat Soil

open access: yesMicroorganisms
Polymer application combined with nitrogen (N) fertilization can increase soil N transformation efficiency. However, the mechanism of polymer influencing soil biocommunity characteristics and nitrogen transformation is still unclear.

Phosphate sensing [PDF]

open access: yesCurrent Opinion in Nephrology and Hypertension, 2009
To discuss findings suggesting the presence of a phosphate-sensing mechanism in the various organs and the presence of a novel intestinal effector that alters renal phosphate excretion after the ingestion of a phosphate-containing meal.Although phosphate homeostasis is controlled by a variety of hormones (such as parathyroid hormone and 1,25 ...

Phosphate retention by soil in relation to waste disposal

open access: yes, 1979
The disposal of large amounts of domestic sewage water and liquid manure, both containing dissolved phosphates, is often problematic. Discharge of these into (shallow and standing) surface waters is highly undesirable, as phosphate is considered to be ...

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Quality characteristics of horse meat as influence by the age of horse

open access: yesInternational Journal of Food Properties, 2020
This study aimed at the analysis of the impact of the age of horses and selected substances (lactic acid, malic acid, salt phosphates, and phosphates with rosemary) on the quality of horse meat during cold storage.

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Molecular studies on plant glycerol-s-phosphate acyltransferases [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The main objective of this research is to advance our understanding of the biochemical properties and the structure-function relationships of the chloroplast glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferases in plants.

Utilization of rock phosphate in alkaline soils by plants inoculated with mycorrhizal fungi and phosphate-solubilizing bacteria

open access: yes, 1976
Interactions between vesicular-arbuscular (VA) mycorrhizal fungi and phosphate-solubilizing bacteria were studied in a low-phosphate alkaline soil amended with 0, 0.1% and 0.5% rock phosphate.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.
