Adhesion‐Related Macrophages Regulate Metabolic Homeostasis Through CAV‐1 Dependency

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 26, 8 May 2026.
Adipose tissue harbors a distinct macrophage subpopulation, termed adhesion‐related macrophages (ARMs), which stably adhere to adipocytes. In obesity, ARMs represent the major expanding macrophage subset. They acquire material from adipocytes and rely on Caveolin‐1 for sustained lipid handling.

Phenolic Content, Antioxidant Activity, Phytochemical Diversity, and Toxicological Potential of Tetradenia riparia (Hochst.) Codd Leaves

open access: yesChemistry &Biodiversity, Volume 23, Issue 5, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Tetradenia riparia (Hochst.) Codd is a medicinal plant widely used in traditional medicine. However, comprehensive studies integrating its chemical composition, antioxidant capacity, and toxicological safety are still limited. This study aimed to characterize the phenolic content, antioxidant activity, phytochemical diversity, and ...

Assessment of Preservation and Extraction Methods for Environmental DNA in Sediments

open access: yesEnvironmental DNA, Volume 8, Issue 3, May–June 2026.
We assessed how different preservation methods (freezing, room temperature, silica gel, Longmire buffer) affect eDNA metabarcoding results for bacterial, fungal, microeukaryotic, and metazoan communities in marine and freshwater sediments. Results demonstrate taxonomic‐ and habitat‐specific responses to preservation methods, providing evidence‐based ...
